As part of our Corporate Social Responsibilities, Jeevan wanted to support and strengthen the vulnerable and underprivileged sections in the society irrespective of rural or urban sections, for transforming the quality of life through technology. This urge and focus saw the birth of Jeevan Foundation.
Jeevan foundation was established in 2006, as a registered non-profit trust (registration no is 2057/2006, under Tamil Nadu Trust Act). This trust was established by the like-minded people with the objective of promoting all activities essential for the empowerment of Physical, Mental, Social, Economic and Educational status of the weaker sections of the society including destitute, persons with disabilities and persons suffering from various health hazards.
Assessment and Screening Camp for 1,400 Differently Abled Persons:
Jeevan Foundation conducted an assessment and screening camp for the differently abled people in Tirunelveli, Thuthukudi and Kanyakumari Districts. This program was inaugurated by Shri D.Nepoleon, Honorable Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Ramasubbu Member of Parliament, Tirunelveli District, and Mr. Jayaraman, District Collector, Tirunelveli. This program had been jointly organized by Jeevan Foundation, Lanco Foundation, NIEPMD, District DDRO and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. This program benefited more than 1,400 differently abled people.
Blood Donation Camp:
Blood Donation Camp was organized by Jeevan Foundation, in collaboration with Hindu Mission Hospital at the Foundation’s premises. Minister and his wife initiated the blood donation followed by more than 60 volunteers.
Myopathy Hospital run by the Jeevan Foundation at Veeravanallur, Thirunelveli Dist. Hospital currently treats around 100 muscular dystrophy affected children. This is an exclusive hospital treating muscular dystrophy patients in a big way in the entire sub-continent.
Jeevan Foundation Further commits for the national integrity and safeguarding the ethnic minorities from the all the social risks.
